Thank you for your explanation. If you can contact us directly (Tapstore UK Ltd, 01342 321 121), then we can contact Sterling and get this resolved for you. You have purchased the filter through us, rather than from Sterling/Clearwater direct. The current filters are a temporary stop gap whilst Sterling sort out an issue with the original filters, they will be going back to the original design as soon as they are available. As you say, they do have an adapter, but with the correct installation, the should still work the same.
