We apologise that your first choice of dates were unavailable, however our team will always double check holiday availability when an online booking comes in. We will then either confirm the dates or agree alternatives with the customer, before processing the deposit. In the event that we are unable to work out a suitable itinerary, the deposit would then be released and the customer would not be charged.
We respect this must have been frustrating news for you when we couldn’t book your preferred dates, and we are glad that we were able to tailor the holiday for another date that worked for you. Our online form allows you to book for any date within the advertised season for that holiday, as we like to give flexibility to our clients to proceed with what works best for them - those dates are not confirmed until you receive a booking acknowledgement email. We emphasise this, especially on remote trails like our Scottish Highland ones, with the following text - “Please note this trail is very popular. If you have flexibility with your start date, please advise this when booking. Please do not make any travel plans until we have double checked and confirmed availability for your booking”.
