We are very sorry that you had this experience. Regrettably your dynamic air mattress incurred a re-stocking fee due to the fact that it was returned in used condition and was rigorously tested by the manufacturer as working perfectly fine (Pump running in ultra silent mode - quieter than an adjacent laptop fan). Because your wish was for a refund instead of having the mattress returned to you, we had to apply our aforementioned 15% restocking fee, due to the fact that the mattress was now deemed used and not new. Please know that we explored every avenue to find fault with your mattress in order to claim under warranty for you and initiate a full refund, but unfortunately in this case the manufacturer was completely adamant that it was functioning as quietly as advertised. The mattress part of any air mattress will never be truly silent, due to the nature of an air mattress being that air physically moves between cells to produce the pressure relieving effect.
