Thank you - you're quite right!  We could put together cheap trips but they would be rubbish and dangerous too. Cheaper trips are shorter trips because this is where most money is saved by those who plough that furrow.  Less time means poorer acclimatisation and more altitude illness with less chance of getting to the top.  So, we aim to be good value for money, as you say, by maximising everyone's chances of reaching the top.  For that,. you need a proper and reasonable acclimatisation programme and experienced leadership.  After that, everything falls into place.

Thank you for your thoughts so far.  I hope you have had a great time in Nepal - from what I have seen on twitter and heard from our mole within the team things seem to have gone well?  So, I trust you've got oodles of new and already fond memories of Nepal and of the Annapurna region.  Let me know how it went once you've settled back home.

It's great to know you had a good time.  We have a great crew over there in Mexico.  So, along with Adele as your leader, I would have put a bet on you getting the most out of your time climbing the volcanoes.  Good to know you liked the cultural and culinary highlights too.

Hello Steve and Nicky,  

It was great to have you both back on another trip.  I  was very pleased you were able to head off to Upper Mustang and then to Saribung because it is such a special place.  It truly is in an amazing part of Nepal, and quite unlike anywhere else in the country - even what one takes for ancient Buddhist shrines and stupas turn out to be something other!   A real trip of adventure and discovery even for those who have been to Nepal a few times before - perhaps especially for them.

Very many thanks for your kind words and for joining another expedition.  You're right - we are the Hotel California of the adventure climbing world!  It could be that if anyone starts to look a little peaky, we send them off to the mountains under the pretext of research when, really, it's to refresh the spirit, as it does for us all!
