30 GBP "booking fee"? I should have just done straight to Sixt to book. What are you providing that's worth that extra? All the US travel companies do this for free, or just charge a few dollars.

Thank you for your feedback. The booking fee is a deposit taken from the overall rental price to reserve the car for you. The balance of the rental price is payable on arrival. If no money was taken upfront, then there would be people reserving cars and not turning up to collect, which would be a major inconvenience to car rental suppliers as they would have already reserved the car for you.
