Thanks for the feedback Jeremy, it is always appreciated - Andy will be grateful too, of course.  We're definitely struck by ice climbing in Austria, but will base ourselves in Imst in future so we can get at the ice a little quicker next year. Otherwise, the search for ever greater places to climb goes on!

Thanks for your feedback Moira - I'm really pleased you enjoyed Kilimanjaro, as it is one of my favourite places.  It is often underestimated and, in my experience, digging deep is invariably needed, especially those last few hundred metres up to the crater rim, in the dark, when it all seems too hard and cold - and doubt starts to crowd in.  But then, the suns starts to break the horizon, you can see the crest with the crater opening out behind, and the doubts fade to optimism.....still, it's another 50 minutes to the top!

Thanks for the feedback, and for taking part in this new course.  I'm glad it all worked well under Andy's organisation and leadership, and that Matthaius shone as well.

I was with Andy in Austria just a few weeks ago - ski touring.  The only change we would make now is to base the ice-climbing in Imst, to get us to the ice a bit earlier each day.

Meanwhile, watch out for next year's ice climbing programme, which we hope will tempt you back for more!
