We are delighted you are happy with the picnic tables and that they arrived safely before half term as requested. As you say, the haulier did phone the school where the tables were to be delivered rather than yourself. We are really sorry if our lines got crossed and our salesperson did not not note on your order the instruction to call you rather than the school. We ask hauliers to call delivery locations at least 1 hour prior to delivery to ensure someone is on site to unload. However, we would have expected the school to inform you of the delivery if they were unable to unload the goods themselves. Only the haulier would have known precisely when delivery would be made which is why we were unable to specify a delivery date when you called the morning of the delivery, but whoever took your call at Kedel should certainly have called the haulier to get delivery details for you , which is what we would normally do. We will investigate why this did not happen but as our office is also understaffed due to Covid this may have been a mitigating factor. Also, at the moment hauliers are under significant pressure due to a 5 times increase in deliveries during lockdown and it is not practical for them to contact us, their clients, as well as the delivery locations when they are quite likely also understaffed. We can only apologise if this caused inconvenience.

I am truly sorry for the inconvenience you had from receiving the wrong product, but delighted to hear from you by email that you had found a way to use the sheet we sent after all. The person who packed and sent the incorrect product has been spoken to and of course we have refunded you the difference in price.

Our communications are generally very good, but unexpected absences have obviously affected our services due to schools unexpectedly sending children home due to isolation requirements and staff suddenly not coming in.

Customers usually add their cutting requirements to the comments box during check out. We are sorry if you didn't notice the comments section when you placed your order. We will look into making this more obvious on cutting orders. We can only apologise for not calling you when we saw the cutting charge but no instructions with it. This should have happened. We have spoken to the person who fulfilled your order and have also refunded your cutting charge.
