McAdams does have more carbohydrate than some other pet foods who for example boost their proteins and reduce their carbs by using cheaper meat meals, carcass or meat recovered from carcass. Our question always is – how much protein came from high grade meat not meals? McAdams comes out top on this one. All our meat protein come from Whole free-range chickens rather than processed meals or leftovers from the human food chain, and believe it is not as simple as “how much, of something is present but rather “how good” the nutritional sources are. Put simply we use better ingredients for better quality health. Ultimately it is the consumer’s choice and we, of course respect that , however we hope this has helped clarify what is a complex subject, and why we formulate the way we do.
