Thank you for your feedback, it's very much appreciated. All of our staff attend training sessions with car seat manufacturers so that we can show our customers how to fit their car seats and bases. With the base you have there are a set number of positions, and sometimes the perfect position is in between two settings and when you have the weight of the baby in the seat you may have to change the leg setting. If the leg is too far extended this can change the angle of the base making the carseat very upright for a newborn. I will be speaking to the member of staff that served you on Saturday and checking how they fitted your base. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention. Amanda
