Firstly, we are sorry to hear that you were disappointed on arrival to find sand outside the apartment. The corridor is shared by a number of apartments and you will have noticed the apartment doors are opposite each other. We don’t have responsibility for servicing the corridors as there is a management company that looks after this area, however, saying this, when our cleaners attended prior to your arrival, had they noticed sand by the door mat, they would have cleaned it up. The sand is likely to have been deposited by the occupants of the apartment opposite after our cleaners had left. We are sorry you felt inconvenienced by this.
We advertise self-catering accommodation and as such only offer basic supplies which include a couple of dishwasher tablets, a toilet roll for each toilet and a welcome pack of tea/coffee sachets. We do not provide hand wash, dishwasher liquid, kitchen rolls nor a bulk supply of toilet rolls as guests are expected to self-cater and bring their own.
It is most unfortunate that there was bird poo on one window. We can assure you it was not there when our cleaners attended prior to your arrival. Birds can fly overhead at any time and relieve themselves and we have no way of keeping track.
The mobile signal varies with different carriers but we have to admit it is generally poor in Porth. We are sorry but we have no control over this. We do provide complimentary WiFi for guests.
Regarding the recycling, we provide separate, clearly labelled bags, one for mixed recycling and the other for general waste. We apologise that there wasn’t clear instructions on how to use these bags, but we believed the labels were self-explanatory, however, following your feedback, we will add a paragraph in the Guest Information Folder to explain to future guests. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We are concerned to read your comment about stains inside the toilet bowl as this implies it was not cleaned properly, which is most certainly not the case. Having spoken with our head housekeeper it appears the “stains” to which you refer is the spray chemical used to clean the toilets.
