Thank you for your feedback.
As I explained on the telephone, this situation can arise from time to time whereby a customer would like a delivery left in a safe place should they not be available to sign for the goods when they are delivered. A problem arises when the goods that are ordered are in larger container sizes or clasify as a full hazardous consignment.
These deliveries must be driven by specialist drivers that hold the specific licensing. It is against the law for these drivers to leave these goods without gaining a signature from someone stating that they are responsible for the goods. I understand that sometimes these deliveries are left, but that is out of our control and down to the individual driver, as it their license that they are jepordising.
I tried to contact you as soon as I was made aware that the delivery was not completed successfully, but unfortunately I could not get through to you. So I sent an email. As soon as I was able to speak with you, I re-arranged delivery for the following day to a delivery address where someone would be able to sign for the goods.
I am sorry if you feel that you have been let down by our service in this instance, but hopefully, we will be able to avoid this happening again in the future. Please be assured that we are as keen as you are to resolve these types of problems.
Kind regards
Chris
