Thank you for your purchase and I am sorry and disappointed to hear you aren’t happy with the frame. I can assure you that all our frames are not off the shelf. They are handmade and professionally finished to order, using premium mouldings made from real wood, which results in durable frames and unmatched surface finishes. They also benefit from strong MDF backing, not cardboard and we use crystal clear plexiglass, not styrene and not glass. Many online retailers and framers no longer sell glass in frames because they are difficult to transport safely and without damage and many couriers will not insure them for transportation. The plexiglass used offers a unique clarity of glazing that doesn’t scratch easily, has high UV resistance, and doesn’t yellow over time. It is also not heavy like glass, which can cause your frames to warp over time. There is a very lengthy process and craftsmanship that goes into each individual frame, so I stand by the quality offered and would be happy to contact you directly to see what part of the process has failed for you, so at the very least I can feed this back to our framers. In the meantime, we have a section on our website all about our bespoke framing process, which our customers can refer to before making their decision on whether to use our framing service or source their own.
