We strive to provide items of the highest quality and we are sorry yon don't think it has been achieved on that occasion. All our charms are made of Sterling Silver 925 which is one of the best quality level for silver. I am afraid a few scratches are inevitable as silver is a soft metal but if you can email me a picture of your bracelet I would be happy to take a look and see if the marks are unusual. As for the braid, we choose to use cotton as sliding knots don't work on leather and the bracelet would then no longer be adjustable. We just received a new type of braids - called Satin Braids - which seem to be stronger so I'm happy to restring your bracelet if you would like to give it a try. I just emailed you a Free Return Label so you can return us your bracelet free of charge. Let me know. Merci Maman Team
