We are very sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience with Water Babies and have tried to contact you to discuss this further as we would like to understand your comments better. We always strive to ensure that we have happy swimmers and would like to have the opportunity to put things right.
Safety is obviously paramount and in our practical information we send out before you start the course we explain why it is important to change babies on a mat on the floor. Having tested many brands of nappies over the years, we know that there are very large differences between them and their effectiveness. We operate a strict double nappy system to ensure we minimise the risk of leakage into the water, as if this happens (and no system is 100% perfect), we have to cancel classes at short notice, as you have experienced. We give options of nappies to wear, you don't have to buy one from us and we do explain this at booking on. If a nappy doesn't fit correctly when you arrive at the pool, we have no option but to supply a correctly fitting one so that you can still swim.
We hope that little ones stay with us for several years as we teach them to swim, so bonding with their instructor is a very important aspect of our lessons as they may well potentially be seeing them nearly every week for the next four years of their lives.
