Venice Day Tours - Venice Walking Tour and Gondola

Thank you for your comments about our tour - we understand it was informative and interesting and you learnt a lot of interesting details about the city of Venice. All our guides are professionals and show up for work if a last minute change is not feasible. The alternative would have been a cancelled tour so I am sure it's understandable the guide and our company did our best in the circumstances and a person can hardly be blamed for catching a cold. On that day we had three groups - each with of our most experienced and knowledgeable guides - Cristina, Cristina and Francesca.  Tourists unfortunately are often unaware or inconsiderate and ignore warning signs and keep taking pics anyway. As you pointed our guide did inform the group about the "no pics" rule - but I am sure you will agree it's hardly her fault if people willingfully decided to ignore her warnings. Not all people are respectful of local rules when they travel - the guide can only do as much ad to politely inform everybody about respecting a place of worship.

Thank you for your feedback. We value your comments and it is important for us to ensure maxium quality on our tours. We are very attentive with the reviews from our travelers and we don't mind investigating in case there is anything amiss. We tried to contact you directly to receive a more detailed feedback before contacting our guide as well as other participants in the group in order to have a possibly objective idea of the situation. We have not heard back from you therefore we can only address this feedback by saying all the guides that are hired for the tours are interviewed by us and periodically we run quality checks during the tour to make sure all is operating as scheduled. On that particular day we had three very experienced guides who have been with our company for years. We have not received any less positive comments from anyone else on the tour that day. At the beginning of the tour the assistants do the sound check to ensure everyone is hearing the guide well - did ask for assistance or notify anyone before the tour commenced if you were not hearing well? We use headsets that are the most updated ones so it is extremely rare that there is any issue with them. We don't know from your feedback what occured with the guard or other tourists - perhaps the situation required the guide to intervene. We would appreciate to be contacted by you to discuss further as we are serious people and we take responsibility where it is required. We remain at your disposal for any assistance.
