I'm sorry to hear your friend's bracelet discoloured. The braid is made of cotton so we advise to avoid contact with water whenever it's possible to prevent the bracelet from discolouring. If your friend ever wants to change for a different braid colour she can send us back her bracelet for a restring using the Restring Section on the left side of our online homepage. I'm really sorry to hear your husband bracelet frayed, it should not have happened after only a month indeed. I just emailed you a Free Return label so you can send it back to us and we'll restring it for you. Please bear in mind that for the braid to last as long as possible we advice to avoid contact with water as much as possible and especially to avoid moving the sliding knots while they are wet as this might damage the braid more quickly than usual.
