Many thanks for your feedback. I'm really sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your ring. It is hard to determine the cause of the wear without seeing the ring, however anything that is as hard or harder than your ring, such as a metal door handle may mark it. Unfortunately no metal is impermeable to wear and tear, even Platinum, which is the hardest and most durable precious metal. Anything your ring comes into contact with may mark it. The most surprising items can have an effect on your jewellery, e.g; Keyboards, mugs, door handles, chairs, cutlery and even telephones can affect the surface too. This also means that every person wears their jewellery differently. Like any item of value it will need a level of maintenance. The first few scratches are the most noticeable, just like on a new phone or watch, and often the finish just evens out to a pleasing patina. Some people prefer to keep re-polishing the ring to keep it looking as new. Others let the finish just follow its natural course. Of course you are more than welcome to send it back to us for the workshop to inspect and determine the causes of the scratches.
