I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your purchase. Our dispensers are robust and reliable and will give many years’ service in normal use. It is unfortunate that in your father's case the shutter has been damaged - it is meant as a deterrent against fiddling with the tray in-between doses and in the vast majority of cases does exactly that. The benefit of the shutter is that it prevents access to the tray except at an alarm time (when in 'secure' mode), so medication cannot be taken at an incorrect time or the tray forced round.
If your father has removed or damaged the shutter please do contact the office as we can supply a new shutter for you. We can also repair damaged dispensers and offer a repair and refurbishment service.
