Err 1 indicates that there is a possible obstruction resulting in the tray being unable to complete it's rotation between doses. This is usually caused by larger pills which can be resolved by placing them in the next compartment of the tray. We do supply a Tipper that the dispenser sits in which will allow your mum to just tip her tablets straight into a bowl by pulling down a handle. She would no longer be able to shake the dispenser or turn it upside down which should avoid any further errors because of this.
