Our issue was admittedly unusual with one of our potential tenants requiring an international visa which was mot confirmed at the time of taking the rental deposit but I did not feel that Romans really understood out concerns as the landlord or acted with our interest at heart as I would expect being the party paying the fee. I later discovered that some of our concerns were unfounded but it was a shame that this was not clarified at the time, a bit more empathy with our position in terms of risk and a more thorough understanding of the legalities of the situation as the agent rather than expecting us to research this could have rectified the situation in everyone's best interest. I have to be honest I was left feeling that the sales office just wanted to get a tenant signed up and Romans' deposit secured regardless of the potential risk of a fall through and unsecured empty property for us.
