i PREFERRED THE OLD SYSTEM BUT AM GETTING USED TO THE NEW WAY OF DOING IT. IT IS, HOWEVER, COMPREHENSIVE AND I VALUE THAT.

The paper copy is great. The online service is not as versatile (you can't flick through the entries looking for an obscure village) and is twice the price.

Thank you for your feedback. We do plan to develop the website further, so it is useful to know the additional features our customers would like to see. On the current site the quickest way to find a particular place is by using the place search. You can also use the browse feature to see places in a specific diocese, archdeaconry, deanery or benefice. Yes, but the online price is only for one year whereas the book lasts for two years.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you have found the directory contents to be disappointing. Records are pulled entirely from the official Church of England database so we do not have any direct links with Ancestry. If you would like to cancel your subscription and receive a refund please contact us at crockford@hymnsam.co.uk.
