Dear Customer, Thanks for the review. The product review is of concern since it is a very popular and highly rated product. I note that you have used it for cleaning the eyes. However, we did not describe it to be designed as soft wipes for cleaning of eyes! These are described as gauze swabs and not cotton swabs which is perhaps what you may need. Although the gauze is made of cotton but it is not going to be as soft as natural cotton. The gauze swabs are quite popular in the medical industry for cleaning of wounds or cleaning of surfaces. These are also used for cushioning over a wound and absorption of exudates from the wound. The exduates are much thicker and therefore the gauze swab is purposely open weaved to allow these exduates to pass through. The weaving is similar to an open weave cotton bandage. These swabs are also therefore listed under main category ' Dressing & Woundcare '. Eye wash solution are much thinner in comparison. You may need cotton swabs. In case you do need gauze swab then I guess you need to note the ' Ply' in that swab. These are '8 ply' swabs so you need to look for minimum 16 ply or more. Or, you may also try non woven swabs. These swabs are described as per what they are and their intended use. Customers can use them for other purposes as well and it may or may not suit some of them. We would not know what all alternate uses customers are going to use these for. Thus, we can only describe what the product is and it's intended use and cannot advise everything these are not intended or suitable for. Increasing the layers by folding them or using a few pieces on top of each other would increase the ability to hold the liquid if not sufficient in your case.
