Thank you for your reply, but this is not what your customer service told me when they called me after I published this comment.
She told me there is a bug on your website with an error on the delivery dates.
nobody contacted me on Wednesday, and I haven't agreed to send it, I just received an email that my order would be dispatched with the new delivery dates.
I do agree that you cannot be held responsible if the recipient is not at home, but the issue was really about the fact, that we placed the order because on your website it said that the order would be delivered the next day. And apparently this are UK delivery times and your international site was not updated (according to the person that called me, who by the way, was very friendly and apologetic and agreed that, in this case, it was due to a technical error on your site).
I suggest you get your internal communication sorted out.
