Hi Antonia Thanks for contacting me. Im no sure of the way to describe the size of the jars but they are what I know as the original large neck jars that my mother used to preserve damsons and other such fruit. The rings I was after are about 4 inches in diameter - this is a guess. They go over the thin metal lid tops that have a thin rubber sealing strip attached to the underside of the lip of the lid. Hope this helps. Martin

Thank you for your response Antonia. Apparently our jars are older versions for which lids are no longer made.☹️ We just wanted to notify that we would be returning the lids at our own cost via Royal Mail so would like a full refund.
