Decision making regarding whether to settle or pursue the matter further resides with the insurer or their delegated representatives. However, our head of product did successfully work with your insurer to rate your renewal at the level of NCD you had built up prior to the incident, leading to a reduction in the required renewal premium, which you accepted.
