Hi, Thank you for your feedback on this lock. Sorry you had issues with this. If you needed to chisel the door to widen the mortice hole then the current lock you have is a different model version of the Chubb 3G114 lock without hardened plates on and unfortunately the newer versions have the hardened plates on either side to meet the insurance requirements. There is a chance you can get it repaired but please note these locks are no longer suitable for the insurance requirements as they are an old standard. Sorry you had such issues fitting this.
