We understand that candidates may have expected to perform physical Venepuncture & Cannulation procedures during the course but, due to legal restrictions, this is not possible. We provide fully functioning, state of the art latex arms for candidates to practice on and gain their training competency, then candidates will go on to perform the procedure in their workplace under the supervision of a manager, for their workplace competency.
As this is a foundation course, all aspects of Venepuncture & Cannulation need to be covered regardless of experience levels and all trainers must deliver this course in line with the lesson plan and presentation provided, to ensure full compliance with our RCN Accreditation. Regarding access to the building, there is a sign placed by the door at Reception, however we will look for ways to improve this experience for candidates in the future.
