Hey there, Sorry about the birthday. 48hrs applies for all orders received by midday - I've just checked through the site and appreciate this might be clearer so that's what we're going to do - We send by Royal mail so you can appreciate that in this case the order was received after 2pm and we have to prepare, plant, laser and package by 3.30 for the postman. That means despatch isn't on the Thursday it's on the Friday and 48hrs - with the weekend puts your pot out for delivery on the Monday. Which is still pretty good for a fully personalised pot! I'm sure if this had been clearer you may have considered upgrading to the next day delivery but hindsight is a beautiful thing! We hope they love it and you don't think we've done it on purpose to ruin your sunny weekend.
