Hi Simon, I found a ski hire shop in La Plagne where the owner sold me his own ski crampons, saying that he hadn’t used them in a few years. They needed a little filing down to fit, but worked really well. The Sierra Nevada trip with Jim was excellent and it was clear that my confidence in off piste skiing had improved Best wishes Mark

Hi Eamon, I hope you're enjoying the eastern reaches of Nepal. That was where I went first in 1985 when I went to Nepal as a very young mountaineer, hoping to climb Kirat Chuli just to the north of Kangchenjunga. Let me know if the water taps along the high street in Gunsa are still working - we installed them when we were there.
